The opening is unusual: labdanum gives a sticky, warm resin from the first minute, violet leaf a sharp, green, cucumber-like freshness and Sichuan pepper a tingling, floral spice. The heart is built on orange blossom and rose, warm and slightly honeyed, with patchouli adding an earthy depth. The base is soft and balsamic, with benzoin and amber giving a sweet, resinous warmth, vanilla a creamy edge and musk a smooth finish.
