Eau Dynamisante from Clarins, released in 1987 and composed by Jacques Courtin-Clarins, is a spicy herbal cologne. People describe it as spicy first, citrus for most, with green, woody, floral and aromatic facets noted by a third.

It opens with Amalfi lemon and orange sharpened by caraway, coriander and petitgrain, so the citrus has an earthy, seed-like edge from the start. The heart is herbal: thyme and rosemary with cardamom and a clove-like carnation, more kitchen garden than flower bed. The base is a single note of patchouli, giving a dry, earthy finish.

Longevity is split between moderate and weak, and sillage between intimate and moderate, so it is a scent to refresh rather than rely on. It is voted for summer and spring and mostly for daytime. It is worn by anyone, and suits warm mornings and people who like herbs and spice over sweetness.

Eau Dynamisante — unisex fragrance by Clarins (released 1987). Top notes: Amalfi Lemon, Coriander, Orange, Caraway, Petitgrain. Heart notes: Rosemary, Carnation, Thyme, Cardamom. Base notes: Patchouli. — Parfica open fragrance database
