La Panthère Parfum is Cartier's 2020 parfum concentration for women, composed by Mathilde Laurent. Wearers describe it as green and floral in equal measure, with about half also finding it gourmand, woody and musky.
The notes are listed together: gardenia and osmanthus for the flowers, apricot for fruit, oakmoss, moss and patchouli for the green, earthy backbone, and musk to hold it close. Gardenia brings a creamy, slightly indolic white floral; osmanthus adds a soft apricot-leather tone that the separate apricot note reinforces, which is where the gourmand impression comes from. Oakmoss and moss give a damp, forest-floor bitterness that keeps the sweetness in check, and patchouli adds a dark, dry earthiness underneath.
About half of wearers find it long lasting and half call the sillage strong, with most of the rest saying moderate. It is voted equally for autumn and winter and slightly more for night than day, which suits a rich, green floral for cooler evenings.
