Omnia by Bvlgari, released in 2003 and composed by Alberto Morillas, is a spicy, tea-inspired scent. Spicy is the accord everyone agrees on, with a good share also finding it sweet and woody, and a minority floral and citrusy.

It opens with cardamom, ginger, pepper and saffron, giving a warm, glowing spice lifted by mandarin orange. The heart is built around masala chai, the spiced milky tea, with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon reinforcing the spice, almond adding a soft marzipan sweetness and lotus a gentle, watery floral calm. The base is smooth and creamy: white chocolate brings a milky sweetness, tonka bean warmth, and guaiac wood and sandalwood a soft, slightly smoky woodiness.

Most wearers find longevity moderate and the trail intimate to moderate, so it stays close. Votes favour autumn and winter and split fairly evenly between day and night, which suits cosy days, the office and quiet evenings for someone who likes spiced, tea-like warmth.
