The opening is a heap of soft fruit: cantaloupe and melon, plum, pear and a crisp Granny Smith apple, with salt and algae lending a briny, beach-air edge that stops it being purely juicy. The heart is more unusual, pairing water lily and aquatic notes with frankincense and oakmoss, so a cool watery freshness sits alongside a dry, resinous, slightly mossy depth. The base of amber, sugar, cedar and musk is warm and sweet, with cedar keeping it from turning syrupy.
It is worn by anyone and has the easy, holiday character of a hot-weather scent, best by day in summer, for someone who likes melon and sea air with a sweet finish.
