Oud After Dark by Amouroud (2016) is a gourmand oud. Sweetness leads, and spice, wood, flowers and amber are each noticed by most people, with a smaller musky share.

Pepper and saffron give a warm, golden, leathery spice at the start. Apricot and plum bring a ripe, jammy fruit, and osmanthus, dianthus and rose a soft, apricot-like and clove-tinged floral heart. Frankincense and olibanum add a cool, smoky resin. The base is dark and warm: agarwood gives a dry, smoky oud, ebony a dense, dark wood, tobacco a honeyed warmth, suede a soft leather, and vanilla, amber and musk a sweet, smooth finish.

Oud After Dark is shared and can be worn by anyone. As the name suggests, it is an evening scent, ideal for autumn and winter, dinners and nights out. It should appeal to people who like fruity, sweet oud blends with a smoky, leathery depth.
