Le Jardin is a fruity rose from the Qatari house Al-Jazeera Perfumes, released in 2021 and composed by Fanny Bal. Floral is how everyone describes it and most also call it sweet, so expect a plump, jammy rose rather than a green or powdery one. It is made to be worn by anyone.
Five notes are listed together rather than as a pyramid. Rose and Turkish rose oil are the centre, a full, rich flower with the slightly spicy, honeyed depth that Turkish rose brings. Peony lightens it with a fresher, pinker petal note. Raspberry and black currant supply the fruit: raspberry for soft sweetness, black currant for a tart, leafy edge that stops the composition from becoming purely sugary.
