Isfarkand Elixir is the elixir-strength version of a citrus woody from the British house Ormonde Jayne, released in 2019 and worn by anyone. Citrus is the description everyone gives, about two-thirds add woody, and a third find it green.
The opening is a triple citrus: lime for sharpness, mandarin orange for sweetness, bergamot for a rounded, slightly floral bitterness. The heart is a single material, Iso E Super, which smells like a smooth, velvety, almost transparent cedar and gives the fragrance a radiant quality that seems to hover around the wearer. The base turns drier and greener: moss for a bitter, forest-floor depth, cedar for clean wood, and vetiver for a rooty, slightly smoky earthiness.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported, though elixir concentrations are generally the most persistent in a range. It suits warm weather and daytime, with enough wood to carry into a summer evening.
