Fabulous Yuzu

Fabulous Yuzu by Mancera, composed by Pierre Montale and released in 2022, is a citrus that turns warm and sweet. Everyone who describes it calls it woody and citrusy; two thirds also find it gourmand and floral, and a third spicy.

Yuzu, lemon and mandarin open it with a bright, slightly floral citrus, yuzu being sharper and more aromatic than ordinary lemon. Cinnamon arrives early and gives the fruit a warm, spiced edge. The heart is jasmine and mimosa, the first adding a heady white-flower sweetness and the second a soft, honeyed, pollen-like warmth.
