Opulent Odyssey

Woody and floral in roughly equal measure, with spice, sweetness, amber and leather all playing supporting parts, Opulent Odyssey is a dense, layered composition from Maison de l'Avenir. It was released in 2024 and is worn by anyone.

The note list is long, so it helps to group it. Raspberry and ginger give a tart, warm lift at the start. Damask rose and geranium form the floral core, while oud and sandalwood supply the wood. Leather and incense darken the picture, and vanilla with benzoin rounds everything into a sweet, resinous base. The result reads as a rich, oriental-leaning scent rather than a fresh one, with the rose and oud pairing at its centre.
