Saffron and cinnamon open it with a warm, slightly leathery, slightly sweet spice. Rose sits in the heart, dark and jammy, in the familiar pairing with oud, which here brings a smoky, woody depth rather than a sharp animalic one. Incense adds a dry, resinous haze around the rose and oud. The base is rich: amber and vanilla give a sweet, resinous warmth, sandalwood a creamy woodiness, leather a smooth, smoky edge and musk a soft finish that holds the whole thing close to the skin.
