Philosia

Philosia by the Greek brand Korres is a woody fragrance first and foremost, released in 2024 and worn by anyone. About a third of people also find it citrusy, and a smaller group pick up something musky, fresh or faintly leathery.

The notes are given as one group. Pine, fir and eucalyptus form the core: a cool, resinous forest smell with a camphor-like clarity. Bergamot and orange lighten the opening with a brief sparkle, and star anise adds a soft liquorice sweetness that stops the conifers from feeling austere. Cedar and guaiac wood give a dry, smoky backbone, with patchouli adding earth and musk softening the finish.

The character points to cooler months, outdoor days and anyone who prefers the smell of trees to the smell of flowers. There are no community reports yet on longevity or sillage, so how long it stays on skin remains to be seen.
