Eau d'Ominance

Eau d'Ominance, composed by David Chieze for Gravel in 2025, is a woody fragrance according to everyone who rates it, with about two thirds also calling it citrusy. A third find it green, musky, ambered or leathery. It is a salty, mineral wood with a fresh citrus top.

Bergamot and mandarin orange give a bright, juicy opening, and pink pepper adds a light, rosy spice. Violet brings a cool, slightly powdery, green-tinged floral note. Salt is the distinctive element, giving a dry, mineral, sea-air quality that runs through the scent, and Ambroxan reinforces it with a smooth, ambergris-like warmth. The base is dry and dark: agarwood adds a resinous wood, leather a smoky, supple depth, oakmoss an earthy greenness, vetiver a rooty dryness and musk a soft, skin-like finish.

Eau d'Ominance is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Citrus and salt keep it fresh enough for daytime and warm weather, while the oud and leather give it evening presence. It should appeal to people who like modern, mineral woods.
