Libertine Neroli

Libertine Neroli is Francesca Bianchi's take on orange blossom, composed for her own house and released in 2022. Floral is the word everyone uses; about half also find it green and resinous, and a minority notice leather and citrus.

The notes are listed together. Bergamot and petitgrain, the bitter, leafy side of the orange tree, open things on a green note. Tunisian neroli is the centre, bright and clean, but it is not left pure: geranium adds a sharp, rosy greenness, iris a cool powder, and animal notes with leather give it a warm, slightly dirty undertone that is the point of the name. Oakmoss brings a dry, bitter, forest-floor depth, and labdanum with benzoin closes it with a sweet, balsamic warmth.

Libertine Neroli is worn by anyone. By character it sits between seasons, fresh at the start and warm later, and it suits people who find most neroli scents too clean and want one with a mossy, animalic edge.
