Molecule 01 + Guaiac Wood is a pure woody fragrance from Escentric Molecules, created in 2023 by Geza Schoen. It builds on the idea of the original Molecule 01, a single aroma material, by pairing it with one natural wood.
There is no classic opening, heart and base here; the scent stays close to the same shape from start to finish. Iso E Super is a smooth, transparent woody material that many describe as velvety and almost cedar-like, and it can seem to come and go as the nose gets used to it. Guaiac wood adds what the original lacks: a darker, slightly smoky warmth with a hint of tar and a faint sweetness, like a wood fire at a distance.
It is shared and suits anyone. Because the profile is simple and clean, it works on its own or as a layering base, and the smoky side gives it a natural pull towards autumn, winter and evening wear.
