Tam Dao Eau de Parfum by the French house Diptyque, released in 2013 and composed by Daniel Moliere, is a creamy, spiced sandalwood. Spicy and woody impressions are shared by everyone who describes it, and about half also find it gourmand, musky, amber-like or citrusy.

Lime, coriander and ginger give the opening a bright, slightly sharp, spiced freshness. Sandalwood is the centre, smooth, creamy and faintly milky, the kind that smells of polished wood rather than smoke.
