It opens with orange, mandarin orange and grapefruit: the first two sweet and juicy, the last tart and a little bitter, giving the start its Sicilian-sunshine brightness. The heart keeps the theme with lime for a sharp, green sourness and petitgrain, the leaf and twig of the orange tree, which adds a dry, woody bitterness and gives the fragrance its name.
