Saffron and cardamom lead, a dry, slightly leathery spice beside a warm, aromatic one, and together they give the opening its character. Cypriol, also called nagarmotha, adds an earthy, smoky, oud-like depth, and guaiac wood a dry, tar-tinged warmth. The sweet side comes from vanilla and coumarin, which is hay-like and almond-sweet, and the base of musk and white musk smooths it all into a soft, clean, long finish.
